Hi.

Welcome to my blog. Much like the rest of my life, it's still a work in progress, but you're very welcome to take a look around. I hope you like what you see and read. And if you don't... That's why the comments are disabled.

The Clip Pen Kickstarter is live, and has already raised 12 times its fundraising goal

Well I haven't really posted for a month, but fear not dear reader, it does not mean I've been doing nothing! A little bit, but not entirely!

I've been busy with graduating college! And all the headache that goes along with that, the endless busywork of wrapping everything up before you never return. Friends came back to town for the ceremony, so there was lots of time spent with them. I've arranged to work on enough Yelp Boston "Boston Born" pieces this summer to amount to a year's worth of content, the second of those pieces I've written finally published, and Lia and I have begun the countdown clock on a definitive date which we are moving across the country to begin a new life in Seattle. Perhaps most significantly in the last month though, I worked on a new project with the talented designer Ian Schon, and the brilliant Steven Kane.

You may remember Ian from a short multimedia profile I worked on in the fall of last year. I've known him for a couple of years now, and while that profile was about his watch passion project, he's best known in design circles for his line of machined metal pens.

Since we last spoke, he'd quit his job to work on his own projects full time, and asked if I'd be interested in putting together a video for his newest one to be released on Kickstarter: a pen with a clip! I was doubtful of my own videographer capabilities, and luckily Steven was one of the friends who was back in town for graduation (the bugger's been living it up in Australia and Los Angeles for the last year and a half) so we made a date and got to work.

Steven and I have worked together on several projects before, including a couple where I acted for him. Maybe one day those will see the light of day, but not while I can help it. He's a joy to work with though, so it was a real treat for me to get to do this with him, especially after not seeing him for so long.

Anyway, Ian's new project, The Clip Pen, finally launched on Kickstarter today, and I wanted to share some of the awesome photos and media I worked on from it.

Side note: it launched today, with a goal of $1,000. It's already raised $12,000!? Bonkers.

One final note: I decreased the size of these photos so hopefully they'll let the page load quicker. I've finally cottoned on to the fact that my massive photos are really slow to load, so hopefully this is a good balance now.
